Journal # 13 “We just don’t care”

While i was reading “Fostering sustainable behavior”, I couldn’t help to think to myself this will never work, especially in New York.  I think our society as a whole just does not care about the environment.  We have to worry about school, money, work, family and so many other things that the environment that we live in takes a backseat even though it is very important to take care of it.  We just have to much to think about and worry about to worry about the environment around us, its sad but true.  There could be all these gimmicks and programs but the bottom line is we will lose interest in them very quickly and go back to our old ways.  I know people say we can change the world one by one, but i don’t agree because there are always going to be people that don’t take things seriously and so the people that do try and care will become discouraged and just quit.
